Elspeth McCann
My interest in Chiropractic was nurtured from an early age by my parents who were regular Chiropractic patients, as well as my grandfather who moved states to avail himself of the symptomatic relief afforded by Chiropractic care for his debilitating Ankylosing Spondylitis.

I graduated as a Chiropractor in 1979, as one of the original Chiropractic class of RMIT, Bundoora, Victoria. Over the past 42 years I have worked in a variety of practice settings from solo, group practice and locum tenent in many locations around Australia. In 1999, along with my husband Michael and children we moved from the Whitsunday Coast to practice in the beautiful, pristine environs of coastal Warrnambool.
What inspired me about Chiropractic as a child still inspires me now, that is, Chiropractic, ”done by hand” using it’s various techniques but with the ultimate goal of restoring optimal neurobiomechanical function, really works, in a unique and unparalleled way. In my opinion, no one else addresses health restoration of our neurobiomechanical status in the holistic way we do. I salute the visionary pioneers of our profession but I pursue with diligence reproducibility and substantiation/research validating what we do.
Always having had a keen interest in treating children, I started post graduate study, both formal and informal in chiropractic paediatric care in 1993. I have subsequently spent thousands of hours developing the diagnostic and adjustive skills to treat children. I use a unique highly analytical, non-cavitational technique developed by Neil Davies, who developed what I consider to be the gold standard in Chiropractic paediatric education, in the form of a masters course in Chiropractic Paediatrics . I have continued improving my knowledge and skills in that arena, most recently, pre-covid, attending an international symposium in NIP in Malaysia.
To this day I continue to derive a lot of joy from helping people.

Bess Perroud (nee.McCann)
As the daughter of two Chiropractors, I grew up immersed in the topic of patient care and treatment. I was drawn to studying and understanding how to help people heal and what we need to thrive.

I completed my Chiropractic degree at RMIT Bundoora in 2012 and returned to Warrnambool to join the family practice. I love my community here and I love what I do!
Warrnambool is fortunate to have a unique mix of Chiropractors and health professionals, our diverse approaches are a strength for our community. I regularly witness my patients benefiting from a multi-modal approach to care & encourage my patients to consider their health from a wholistic perspective.
My interest is in supporting you on your journey back to your most adaptable and resilient self. I like to incorporate guidance on good habits and exercises to encourage your active participation in your healing journey.

When I’m not at work I devote my time to being a mum, but I also love to grow vegies, create things, tackle renovation projects, walk in the bush, socialize, see live music and go camping!
